Acting Premier Mosenogi maintained Chweneyagae was not just a talented actor; he was a cultural icon whose contributions to the country’s arts and entertainment landscape will be remembered for years to come. “He was a proud product of the North West Province. He honed his craft at Mmabana Mahikeng, where his passion for dramatic arts flourished. His remarkable performances in acclaimed works such as “Tsotsi”, for which he received an Academy Award, and his unforgettable role in “The River”, showcased his extraordinary talent and dedication to his craft”, Acting Premier Mosenogi said. “This tragic loss leaves a void in our hearts and in the industry he loved so dearly. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the legacy of creativity and passion he gifted to us all.
